Thank you for posting this video. Duane Whittingham n9ssn, shared it with me on Facebook. I’m a new ham and am interested in echolink and looking for a decent base radio for my “soon to be” ham shack. You’re getting a great signal and your audio is very clear. I’m thinking that a Kenwood would work best for me because I wear a hearing aid and need the clearest signal I can afford. My main concern has to do with the trees around my home. They seem to block out everything! I can make a dipole with no problem but it looks like I’m going to have to buy a 60 foot pole if I want to get on the air. I’ll be ok, though. I’m surrounded by hams here in Macomb, Illinois. Duane used to be my neighbor before he moved to Chicago to work for the Red Cross, but he is still willing to help me get my commo set up. Maybe I’ll hear you on Field Day.
