Field Day 2009

Today has been a very long day.  In 94+ degree heat we managed to get four of our antennas for Field Day up.  A 160 Windom, an 80 Windom, a 40 M dipole and a fan dipole.
Tomorrow we will work on getting our 3 element beam up, a 40 M vertical and two 6M beams [...]

My serial/USB adapter saga…

Seems like all I do is have saga’s here isn’t it?
I operate a Kenwood TS-850S transceiver with auto tuner and the one thing I’ve been wanting to do was have computer control of my radio and to have that data updated automatically into my logs.
