The past several months have been months where I felt I was burned out on the hobby. Got my new car at the end of July and I haven’t installed the 2 meter/440 rig in yet. Mainly I haven’t decided how I want to install it in the car, but part of me was enjoying [...]

IBCNU APRS iPhone App has updated.
The IBCNU APRS iPhone app has finally been released by the Appstore. After field day weekend I hope to sit down and check out the new gui interface and features and finally put out that review I have been promising.
Right now the new update isn’t connecting to the APRS servers. Got to figure out what’s [...]

Testing the Iphone APRS App, IBCNU
Well… It appears that Apple’s App store has not posted the newest update to this software for downloading as of this morning.
So as soon as Apple does and I’m able to play with the software I will post a review. If you go to iTunes you will see new screen shots for the update but [...]

IRLP Node #4865 – Frequency Change
Node used to be on 145.600 MHz and has been relocated to 146.460 simplex. The band plan lists 145.600 for experimental communications which the node was in the beginning. Felt it was better to follow the intent of the band plan and move it to the new frequency.

However, this data [...]

IRLP 4865 back.
It appears my antenna issue must be water getting into the coax line. I hope to get access to an antenna soon. Only solution is when bad weather approaches the node will go into off-line mode. So if you try to connect into 4865 and it says offline, I’m either asleep for the evening or [...]

IRLP #4865 Down (again)
The antenna for node #4865 is showing high SWR’s again after 7 to 8 hours of rain. I can only assume I may have water getting into the coax. So… Sorry folks.
